HSE Approved First Aid at Work 3 day (FAW) – First Aid at Work 3 day (QCF Level 3)

Hands On Training provides a wide range of first aid courses to companies that are based in the Southend area including the First Aid at Work 3 day course and the Emergency First Aid at Work 1 day course.

FAW 3 Day Course – First Aid at Work Regulations

This three-day course is approved by the Health and Safety Executive under the Health and Safety Regulations for successful candidates to act as first-aiders in their workplace is valid from 1 October 2009 under the revised first aid training regulations.

This course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed in order to become a confident first aider at work, giving you both the ability and the knowledge required to deal with any first aid emergencies, should they occur in the workplace.

This course is valid from 1st October 2009 to meet the revised standards set for first aid training. The First Aid at Work Training Course covers the following content:-

First Aid Priorities
Managing Incidents
Basic Life Support
Examining a Casualty
Unconsciousness
Control of Bleeding
Fractures
Eye Injuries
Dressings
Burns and Scalds
Common Illnesses
Heart Attacks
Recording and Reporting
Regulations
First Aid Kits

First Aid at Work (FAW) Certification

Students are independently examined on the final afternoon of the course. After completing a final assessment, successful candidates receive an HSE approved certificate valid for three years.

This course is legally compliant with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. Upon successful completion of this 3 day course, first aiders receive certification that allows them for 3 years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. You can complete the required re-qualification course by taking our First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Course. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher course.

Duration: 3 consecutive days or 3 days spread over a number of weeks

Venue: on site or at one of our Southend training centres

Cost(Group): £1195 for up to 12 candidates and includes certification and a manual
